Principal’s Message

Realizing the need of pharmacy in human health care and role of Pharmaceutical Industry on economic front of the country, Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research was established under the umbrella of SKS Group of Institutions. Started in 2008 college has shown phenomenal growth in academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

We strongly believe in relationship-based model for teamwork. A family of dedicated teachers, administrative and supporting staff is committed to achieve excellence in every work we do. Clarity in thinking, excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, well stocked library, thought provoking and inspiring scientific museum, software assisted office and library management systems, cultural centre, sport facilities and conducive environment makes learning more interesting and far easy for students and staff as well.

Our quality policy is to maintain highest standards in education, extension and research in order to create student community full of wisdom; through imparting knowledge, inculcating skills and developing the right attitude and thus contribute in creating a sensitive and responsive society that follows ethical and moral values, that thinks logical and rational, and that prospers in peace.

During last decade, pharmaceutical industry underwent a complete transformation due to liberalization, globalization, emerging GATT era and then India becoming a member of WTO coupled with major shift in Governments economic policy. All these events led to severe competition, demand of high quality standards of drugs and pharmaceuticals, introduction of new generation of drugs, emerging biotechnological methods for the production of extremely efficacious drugs. Therefore our goal is to produce a workforce of pharmaceutical technologists who will be globally acceptable for their technological skills, their quality of work and a habit of hard work.

We are proud to have sound academic and well experienced faculty such that other envy us. The institute provides excellent learning environment with 100% placement assistance facilities. It has an excellent infrastructure with ergonomically designed auditorium, medicinal plant garden, seminar hall, the state of art laboratories and classrooms equipped with computers and modern teaching aids.

Our College has been honoured with the Education Excellence Award and the Best Upcoming Pharmacy College in West Bengal by the Brand Research Academy. I am sure that with support of Management, Faculty, Staff and Students we will achieve our goals.
