RECORD SHEET OF ACHIEVEMENTS BY BCPSR STUDENTS IN 2020

  • We have successfully organized National Conference on “Applications of Pharmaceutical Sciences for Healthy Lifestyles and Growth” on 5th of November, 2020.
  • Our Students always come up with flying colours in the Semester Examinations with toppers securing CGPA of 9 and above.
  • Two of our students have cracked the prestigious Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2020. Our faculties were actively involves in training the students for GPAT in helping/Involving them in Doubt clearing sessions and Concept Building.
  • Our BCPSR students have successfully cracked the On/Off Campus interview drive conducted by one of the most best & reputed Companies like GlaxoSmithKline, Cipla, Fresenius Kabi, Alkem, Nestle India Limited Ltd, Omics International, Pulsus Healthtech, Hetero Labs Ltd, Cognizant,etc.
  • 04 Faculties/Staff of BCPSR got selected for the Post of Pharmacist Grade III under Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
  • 05 of BCPSR faculties participated and got certified in Faculty Development Program at BIT, Mesra.
  • Students from second year B.pharm, represented the college at SMART INDIA HACHATHON-2020 (SIH-2020), with an innovative project on “An Indoor Natural Air Purifier”. While another group of students of Third year B.Pharm, took part with a solution dealing with “Warm Mattresses for Patients with Automatic Hydraulic Bed”.
  • BCPSR is an active participant of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) using the SWAYAM platform. BCPSR serves as a Local Chapter for NPTEL (National Platform for Technology Enhanced Learning) The Students have successfully enrolled into different online courses such as: Medical Biomaterial, Biotechnology, Cell Culture Technologies and Bioenergetics of Life Processes, etc. In this semester (January- April 2020), 172 students of different semesters of our college have successfully enrolled into around 34 online courses using the Swayam/NPTEL portal for MOOCS and have secured Certification from eminent Universities in India.
  • 33 Students of our college, got selected as Zonal Winners to represent us in the national front at IIT- Kanpur, in India’s Biggest Training Championship (IBTC-2020), organized by our college in collaboration with DC Crackers and IIT- Kanpur.
  • Our students have also participated and won various prizes in inter-college events like Zentech-2020, Ahleka-2020, Sports-2020 and various other Events
  • Students have achieved great success and won prizes in the field of Presentation both oral and poster at conferences/Seminars organised at various institutes of India.
  • Students have received Awards for excellence in event like debate, painting and pharm-charade at ZENTECH-2020, an inter-college fest organized by a Pharmacy College.
  • Students have also took active participation and fared well with flying colours in events like Memory-race, Dance, Badminton, Open Mic, Running Race, etc. in the inter-college sports meet organized by the SKS groups of Institutions for its various colleges.
  • After the Nation-wide Lockdown due to COVID 19 Pandemic, our faculties have dedicated immense effort in successfully delivering online interactive video lectures, conducting online virtual labs and providing the requisite content to the students on a daily basis as per the syllabus.
  • Online Interactive Classes are being conducted using platforms like ZOOM (discontinued after MHA Notification), Cisco WebEx, Teamlink video conferencing app, etc. and notes and online tests are being done using platforms like Google Classroom, WhatsApp, etc.
  • Students have also utilized this lockdown time as an opportunity to obtain various National and International certifications by competing in quiz, online open courses and have constantly encouraged the students to do the same.
  • In this lockdown period, Faculties took part in various Online activities to upgrade their knowledge such as Scientific Webinars, online Faculty Development Programmes (FDP), National Online Quiz competition and other National/International Certification Programmes
  • The students have actively carried out various Extra-curricular activities like singing, poetry, photography, videography, cooking, collage, etc. as well as awareness videos on COVID 19 as mandated by the university for MAR activities.
  • BCPSR have also organized National Online Quiz Event with Certification on COVID 19 Awareness & Prevention to contribute in social awareness campaign through this effort.  Being Involved with the healthcare system passively, our faculties & students have taken up the responsibility of constantly making the common man aware about the Do’s & Don’ts of Covid-19 through the social media & other means during this lockdown period.
  • BCPSR adopts 5 villages in Burdwan district for rural development under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a flagship programme initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource department under the auspices of NSS to understand and work in rural areas to customise new technology. BCPSR adopts 5 villages under this scheme which are Bistupur, Baidyanathpur, Domra, Kuldia & Tilak Chandrapur belonging to Burdwan District.
  • We believe in “Vince-te-Ipsum” I.e. Knowing and surpassing oneself everyday with new achievements.
