Medicinal Plants Garden at BCPSR is located in the campus of our Institute, and it is a kind of demonstration garden where these medicinal plants are tagged with their scientific and local names for a better understanding. In this way, the students can quickly identify them while on field trips, seminars or other duties related to medicinal plants collection.
The plant species which are grown here are introduced with their scientific reference books to develop an idea about the pharmacological importance of these plants.
Details of Out Medicinal Plant Facility
Medicinal Plants Garden is developed with the fundamental objective of imparting knowledge about medicinal plants in the subject of Pharmacology and Phytochemistry. The garden has been established in a species-area at the BCPSR campus. Visual identification of different herbs along with their local name will expose our undergraduate students to learn about the Folklore and Medicinal importance of these plants. At present, we have 130 kinds of plant species in our medicinal plant facility.
