College Rules
All the students are required to register, at the start of each semester, for the course that he/she pursues in that semester. The registration process involves payment of fees for that semester, clearance of all outstanding dues and signing the registration rolls when the student is given a duly approved course programme to be followed in the semester.
Late- registration
If for any compelling reason like illness, etc. a student is unable to register on the day of registration, he /she will be allowed to register on the day of late registration which is about one week later. Names of those who do not register even on the date of late registration (except due to valid accepted reason) will be struck off from the rolls.
Discipline & Good Conduct
Apart from maintaining courteous behavior in and outside the campus, the students must adhere to the following rules:
  • Refrain from ragging junior students;
  • Punctually attend all classes according to the given time table;
  • Wear appropriate uniform in different seasons;
  • Maintain at least 75% attendance in accordance with the requirement of the West Bengal University of Technology;
  • No smoking and consumption of alcohol and drugs within the College campus;
  • Not indulge in any activity, which is detrimental to the interest and dignity of the college.
Removal/Expulsion
The name of the student shall stand automatically removed from the rolls of the College if:
  • He / She, although otherwise eligible, does not deposit any Tuition, Examination & other fee / due, and / or submit his/her examination / Admission from without prior permission from the principal.
  • He / she indulges in any act of indiscipline and illegal activities like ragging that are detrimental to the interest of the College.
Ragging
As per direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi vide order No SPL No. (Civil) – 24295 & 24296-99 of 2004 dated 10.12.2007 “if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from he institution”.
Hence the students are advised not to indulge in any act of ragging nor shall take part in or subject anyone to ragging.
